The Park Gallery was first opened in London in 1991 showing works by 19th century Orientalists, an area of specialisation and expertise that is still retained and offered to clients. In addition we have a broad range of knowledge and have dealt and continue to deal in, works by British artists from the 18th - early 19th centuries and Modern British artists from late 19th century to the mid 20th whilst acting as agents for private clients within all these disciplines as well as the most important contemporary British art.
A long held interest in travel in the Middle-East, coupled with a passion for art from the region, quickly resulted in our arranging the exhibition of a group of works by Saudi artist Maha Mufti in Jeddah in 1993. Over the years, having travelled to Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the Emirates, and the Sultanate of Oman and met with artists, collectors, museum curators, university professors and teachers, we have gained a deep insight into the background of the current market for contemporary Arab art whilst acting as a major buyer of works for private clients. The works that I propose showing at Abu Dhabi Art 2010 have been acquired over the last few years and many will not have been shown either privately or in public before.
